Gorgeous! Oregon By Tj & J Mayer Flow Blue Teapot

Here's a truly special find! This exceptional flow blue teapot is likely early Victorian! Made by TJ & J Mayer in the mid-1800s, this 6-cup teapot with original lid is designed with Chinoiserie motifs in the uncommon “Oregon” pattern! This piece is stamped on the bottom with the TJ & Mayer Longport logo in blue and embossed “35 FB”. This teapot was likely made in the 1840s or 50s. Condition: This teapot is in VERY GOOD condition! The spout has chips from years of loving service. The lid has a ¼” chip to the edge, too. The pot has general crazing, wear, and light discoloration throughout, and what appears to be a thin hairline where the foot attaches the base and at the finial on the lid. The latter might have been an expertly-done repair.
