Rare Measham Bargeware Teapot

This is a very rare, possibly unique 1884 dated Measham Ba rgeware presentation teapot embossed MISS ATKINSON A PRESENT FROM YORK 1884 boldly inscribed in sunken cobalt letters on a raised white slab on front of pot...wonderful applied multi color sprig floral decoration around the teapot and original matching cov er lid....nice applied handle with "finger" that hangs over rim..white teeth around top rim...nice pour spout with decorations...brown treacle glazed...round with hollow foot ring....7"tall...Excellent shiny nice condition with only a small shallow flake on inner edge of spout opening; a couple tiny flakes on the white teeth rim and a small hard to see hairline on rim less than 1". Also a chip on underside of cover.
