GUERNSEY COOKING WARE TEAPOT by Cambridge Art Pottery (CAP) Made in Ohio by Cambridge Art Pottery (CAP) for their Guernsey Cooking Ware line. Antique - based on the hallmark, my best guess is that this pot dates to the 1910s. Round shape. Has a built-in strainer. Simple white color, turned ivory with age, heavily accented throughout with silver. Bears a round hallmark underneath, marked CAP and Guernsey Cooking Ware L1.1 (?), 28.00 (?). Hard to make out. Appears to be hand-painted and even hand-crafted, with at least one tiny nib (a production irregularity). Heavy pottery construction will keep your tea hot longer. CONDITION: Pre-owned. Has crazing on the outside and some crackling on the inside. Tiny flea bite to the exterior, located one stripe to the right of the spout. Small nicks to paint under the spout. Wear to paint on the spout, on the stripes and on the handle. Otherwise, no damage, no repairs. MEASUREMENTS: 5 inches tall to top of lid. 8-3/4 inches long from handle to spout. 6 inches wide. CAPACITY: 3 cups (24 oz.) comfortably, but will hold up to 4 cups (32 oz.) when filled to the rim.
