Tiffanys & Co, TEA KETTLE, teapot, brass, wrought iron floor stand, 55” c1860.
Beautiful antique standing brass tea kettle with warmer on wrought iron stand. Wrought iron in very good overall condition. One of the leaves by the warmer is broken off/gone- see detailed pictures. Very slight rust on base of one end of stand. Finish coating missing in some spots on stand. I tried to include pictures of the stand that have any deterioration, but it’s 160+ years old so will be worn. Please ask any questions ahead of time. I have looked (but not a professional) for a stamp or marking but haven’t found one, however I know it was purchased from Tiffany’s in New York by my great great great grandmother in 1860. I have also included part of a copy of a letter from my grandmother who wrote the history of some of the old family items and this was included. It’s been exclusively held in our family for all these generations since it was purchased new. I’ve never seen a similar one made by Tiffany’s!
Also please note: shipping is coming out very high due to the height of this stand. I will do my best to ship it via the cheapest method and refund any overage. I was surprised the rates calculated that high, but I’ll do what I can once this is purchased!
