Vintage 1970’s Syracuse Fine China Porcelain Teapot/ Coffeepot Server. 9” Tall with lid-7 3/4” Wide including spout and handle- A gorgeous, flawless teapot- no chips or stains-stored for many years -unused- Color of ivory with a silver trim on top of lid. This was made in the earlier years from Syracuse China when they made fine porcelain- always great quality! Syracuse China, located in Lyncourt, New York (a suburb of Syracuse), was a manufacturer of fine china. Founded in 1871 as Onondaga Pottery Company (O.P. Co.) in the town of Geddes, the company initially produced earthenware; in the late 19th century, O.P.Co., began producing fine china, for which it found a strong market particularly in hotels, restaurants, and railroad dining cars.
